Schools in the region are hailed as among the best in the nation. From primary to post-secondary, the Prince William County School System offers a superior learning experience. Currently, students attend J.W. Alvey Elementary School, Mountain View Elementary School, Bull Run Middle School, and the new state-of-the-art Battlefield High School.

Gifted programs are available at all grade levels, and advanced placement courses are offered at the high school level. All students may take advantage of Prince William County’s expansive specialty programs and choose a school for the arts, biology, mathematics, or information technology. Students can also participate in the International Baccalaureate college preparatory program designed for those who seek intensive academic preparation for university studies. In addition, a number of superb private schools are located nearby.

George Mason University’s Prince William Campus, Northern Virginia Community College, and Strayer University are within a 10-minute drive. The main campuses of George Mason, American, George Washington, and Georgetown Universities, among other excellent academic institutions, are located within the DC metropolitan area.
